triki1, our forum member who released Elive Retrowave for PS4 is back with 3 new distros for the scene: Xubuntu 25.04 for PS4, Debian Trixie (13) for PS4 and Debian Sid/Forky (~14) for PS4. Most of these distributions taking advantage of the latest Mesa packages come with Mesa 25 versions, but, remember, given the current state of development on Mesa Graphics Driver for PS4, PS4, especially the Pro models might still not be able to take complete advantage of the hardware.
Anyways, the Linux distributions in consideration today need no special introduction. So, let’s get straight to the downloads.

Installation: How to install Xubuntu or Debian on PS4?
Since each of these distributions’ archive is more than 4GB, you will have to use the faster method for installation (contains video tutorial as well).
Setup Xubuntu or Debian on PS4
Once the installation is complete, you can customise the distro to your liking. The distros do come with 8GB of Swap already. Just, edit them if you feel there’s a need. Anyways, if you are interested, check the tutorial on setting up swap space on PS4 Linux. If this method doesn’t work, try this alternate swap creation method (second one in the section). It also explains how you can change or add swap. Anyways, Swap is important if you plan on running heavy tasks including gaming on the distro.
Conclusion
Everyone is welcome to share your own distributions for the benefit of the community on PS4Linux forums.
