noob404 Hello , thanks for this awesome distro... I still following steps to make it work no my hacked PS4Pro, it is the most awaited distro in my opinion... I see a possible sugestion for new versions, the posibity to use the same USB in PS4 or PC I can´t report at this moment how it works for me becouse my Linux in Virtual box stills unpacking the tar file.... it seems infinity XD I hope to make it work today, In Raspberry we download and flash the ISOs... it is easier in this way for all the common peopple 🙂

GermanDroide After few hours of following steps, i achieve to get my usb with batocera for ps4... No results, no boots, nothing happens. I used Orbis binloader and tryed all the Linux payloads (from 1 to 5GB) 🙁 No error, nothing happened. Is there any other payloads to boot linux? I saw in the video a long url for the payload but is not complete to copy. I load Hen, the Orbis payloader and then the linux payload. In the 50MB partition is one Kernel and the initframs file as spected

hello, mi PS4 is a PS4 pro... I used the kernel that worked for me in other linux version i tested before... Linux is no my interest, no friendly with me but batocera seems amazing, I use RetroBat inside Windows and it is cool to get it for PS4. please can you share one USB image to flash and then I add my roms, bios, etc?

Boykiv Did you follow the tutorial properly and copy the UUID of the partition properly to batocera-boot.conf ?

Leeroy If you mean to ask if your already existing PSP game saves can be moved to Batocera for PS4, please understanding that moving save files and almost every other general stuff on Batocera for Ps4 is similar to Batocera on any other system. Google for the instructions and if you face any issues, reply and I will look into it.

Hi! I'm having a problem with my PS4 Fat. Using your batocera tutorial with psixitarch I was able to boot into batocera, but sadly I have no input. Neither keyboard, controller nor mouse work. Any idea what it could be?

noob404 I can confirm everything is working, bluetooth, wi-fi, shared network connection. Sadly it seems, at least my system isn't powerful enough to run Dolphin, even if it is a Gamecube game or PS2 :c
Also could be a dumb question but... Could the game performance be tied in with the storage device used? If I used an SSD would it run faster or does that only affect file transfers and load times?

Zephosx An SSD is definitely faster, and you are expected to see a very slight improvement in FPS with an SSD. You can check out the recommended devices here.

noob404 I only worry as to how much performance I'll get out of it. If it's only a slight improvement then it might not make a difference with Dolphin and PCSX2... I'll think about it, till then thank you very much and have a good one!

noob404 Hi Bro, I followed your step to boot up the batocera finally, the last question is, how can it support vulkan driver? this is the root cause of low performance it use OpenGL for the PS2, Wii emulator, do you have the update version of batocera which can support Vulkan? thanks a lot!

singho1122 This unfortunately could be an issue with the kernel you are using. You will have to use a kernel higher than 5.0 in most cases to have Vulkan support.
