noob404 Going to try this now. This is the result of ipconfig on a Windows machine. The bit under wireless LAN adapter is what I assume is most relevant, and the dns suffix is again lan. Under the other headers, its always blank. This has me a bit confused about what I should change the value of lan in resolv.conf to, but for now ill just try changing the nameserver to googles as you suggested, and then ill try changing the search to '.'.
