Check if WiFi works after that, or if running the command throws an error.

Hm... I will check the script to see if the directories are messed up. If the script works , I am unsure on how to proceed, as I am not familiar with PS4 drivers , only with linux.

misfit-mischief Seems ko files were never copied. Here are a few things to try in that order:-

Check /usr/lib/modules/4.19.255+ folder and see if there are two files - wlan_mt76x8.ko and bt_mt76x8.ko. If not manually copy from the archive into that folder.
Run sudo depmod -a
Run sudo modprobe wlan_mt76x8
See if WiFi works.

dhruvin Yes. I think I figured out why its not working as expected, will update after reboot.
Still no wifi, damn. I noticed that the .ko files in both 4.19.255+ folders were more or less blank place holders that were 0 bytes in size I copied the actual .ko files to usr/lib/modules/4.19.255+ and did a reboot.

Side note the .ko files located in lib/modules/4.19.255+ are also now the actual files and not place holders. It appears those folders are linked.

misfit-mischief I am unsure on how to proceed... only options now are the firmware folder is messed up or the debtap messed up. Can you verify if the .tar.xz folder was extracted to /usr/lib/firmware?

I would have thought they would be in the mediatek folder.

misfit-mischief No, it is the correct location. A mediatek subfolder isn't required. Did you run the depmod command before rebooting? Else, the driver won't work.

misfit-mischief Probably a debtap conversion error. Gonna try and compile the headers and drivers from scratch for Baikal on Arch. Will update soon.

UPDATE - Tried with the current kernel. But, on Arch, more modifications are required for it to run. Instead, I am gonna try and aim to build 5.4.99 kernel later on.
