Very nice job. The update went well, and I overwrote Mesa with Extractor. I only have the Kali-Desktop package that is partially installed, is this normal?

When you run sudo apt upgrade in the terminal, it tells you that Kali-Desktop is partially installed, because it can't find background.svg in usr/share/desktop-base/kali-theme/login/background.svg. But if you look closely it's a symbolic link, which points to usr/share/backgrounds/kali/login.svg . I'll post login.svg for you, which you will paste (as root) in usr/share/backgrounds/kali/login.svg . That was simple, wasn't it? You could have pasted any .svg.
