Try to pull out the hdmi cable and put it back in. Then enter the combination CTRL + ALT + F2 and CTRL + ALT + F1
From the tv or the ps4? I've heard in some cases it makes a difference? You mean CTRL + ALT + F1 and CTRL + ALT + F2 I believe?
Yes. With ps4
OK thank you I'll let you know if it works for me
Ok it worked but is there any way around having to do this every time? It worked perfectly on my old lg tv without having to do this? I'm guessing reinstalling the distro from scratch maybe?
Bungledude Unfortunately, there's no permanent fix for it, other than maybe trying to get the Edid file for your TV and placing it in the root of the USB drive.
Well that really sucks but thanks anyway,I guess I"ll try that.Where can I download this file?
Bungledude Try adding this file to the root of your USB drive.
noob404 So it's a text file? If so will it affect my brand new TV at all? Obviously I don't want to BRICK it or put it out of warranty as I just got it last week
Bungledude The file in itself is not known to meddle with the TV's software.
noob404 Oh wow it worked. Thanks you so much buddy
Bungledude Anytime. GL!
