Issue installing despite much troubleshooting.

I will post everything about my system, settings, and things I’ve tried. All in all, I can’t get the LinuxLoader to run to even be able to attempt and install a distro. Basically I can't get to rescueshell to even start install.

SYSTEM: PS4 Slim / FW 7.02 / Belize Southbridge / GoldHEN v2.3

WHAT I’VE TRIED:

I’ve tried running the 1gb LinuxLoader through Karo’s host and just says payload received, nothing more.

I’ve tried sending the payload with a Windows Payload Sender (confirmed Binloader server running), and nothing.

Tried downloading the Payload Guest homebrew app, put LinuxLoader as you can see in the photo and attempted to run it. Same issue as before just saying payload received, nothing more.

I've tried Fedora 39 & 38, different Kernels, different initramfs files. Alway used bzImage file that supports Belize. Nothing seems to get past the "Payload received from 127.0.0.1" message.

I know the other steps regarding running the install commands with files I have on USB, but I can’t even get to the rescueshell to run commands. I would really appreciate any help thank you!

On 7.02, you might have to run Mira payload before Linux payload.
Or, try the Linux payload on Sleirsgoevy's host on PS4.

noob404 Ok I see. Yea the closest thing I saw to a MiraLoader was for 9.00 fw. The file reads “MiraLoader_Orbis_MIRA_PLATFORM_ORBIS_ORBIS_BSD_900.bin”. I didn’t know they had it for 7.02. In any case, would I go on the link and attempt to jail break using “JB+MIRA” instead of how I normally start of jailbreaking with GoldHEN?

Or would I jailbreak with GoldHEN, then run the “JB+MIRA” on that website?

I also do see “JB+LINUX (VRAM 1GB)”. Do you recommend what I should do in order?

noob404 Hey, so some progress! I tried that and I finally saw the message "waiting for clients" and then black screen. So far I have got it to display the glowing blue/purple LED which I believe is a correct sign. Issue is I don't see rescueshell text. I have tried unplugging, replugging HDMI, tried another monitor, tried doing the "JB+LINUX (VRAM 1GB)" again, but same outcome. What do you think I should do. Is it my files?

noob404 On another note, if I am installing Linux from the files at "/user/system/boot", do I need a USB stick for installation? Or can I just do it from the files in that directory? I had planned to install it using those files, to the PS4 storage itself. I have not been using a USB stick at this time.

EDIT: I did try with formatted FAT32 USB stick. Inserted in PS4 and ran jailbreak + Linux, same outcome just blue/purple led glowing with black screen.

Recheck the kernel or try another one for Belize. Check Downloads section.

If do you not see anything on your screen once the PS4 reboots, then, quickly unplug the HDMI cable once the PS4 reboots after "Waiting for clients.." and plug it back in. See if that changes anything. If not, try another monitor.

noob404 I ended up finding out my issue luckily on Reddit, I responded to a two year old post and the guy got back to me. He said he tried it on a TV instead of monitors, and it worked. So I tried and it worked haha. Maybe add that to your FAQ section maybe it’ll help others out if they only see black and can’t get to rescue shell.
