SamuelBC It seems like your only option would be to use the kernel from gbatemp and get a USB WiFi adaptor.

ok , again installing one or the other Os currently i have my ps4 cuh 7215b using a network dongle but i absolutely have no access to bluetooth even installing dependencies etc , my usb dongle is a csr 5.0 it is chinese , i made it work in a linux virtual machine but in case I tried Pop _ OS or steam Os but it does not recognize me in the distribution for the ps4, open a way to make it work??? noob404

Hi there, If a Belize kernel has worked for you to boot into Linux then you must have a Belize chipset as your CPU. It would not boot into Linux if your CPU was not Belize. I too have a CUH-7215B PS4 Pro and Belize type kernels only work for me. Double-check "Who's_that_SouthBridge?" on the jailbreak html window just to be sure.

SamuelBC CUH-7215B is notorious for not having bluetooth and wifi not working. This is a common issue. As for the LAN, that should work for your model without an adapter. Are you using this "Whos_that_southbridge?" on this exploit host = https://jb.ps4linux.com/ For the record, I have tried other exploit hosts for "southbridge" and they too have given me the "baikal" response when in fact my chipset was a "belize" chip for the CUH-7215B.

Bluetooth headphones and controller work flawlessly.

As for the Wi-Fi, I believe the same procedure has to be done. Find the missing Wi-Fi firmware file and add it to the initramfs.

I think I've stumbled upon a much deeper problem than just the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers not working properly...
There's a fundamental coding error or compilation error with Hippie68s initramfs file.

Was this done privately? I thought I was part of the group chat with you guys on discord.... I don't care about money or a reward, but to the best of my knowledge I was the first one to solve the Bluetooth portion of the BT/Wi-fi problem here.

Novice4321 wonderful 😉 I just tried it on my ps4 baikal 7215B and now if you enable wifi/bluetooth 😉 I thought the day would not come. What a thrill . By the way, it's not to be bad, but I wanted to test the Lan connection but it doesn't detect it 🙁let alone a network adapter, my ps4 could be an exception. but everything is great, although I know that wi fi/bluetooth on my poor ps4 is already wonderful. Any if it evolves with new controllers

Zabovis Since Novice had a Baikal and you had a Belize, we decided to check the Baikal first. And, frankly @Dr4kk3N figured the firmware issue first for MT7668 chipset. Not undermining your work at all, but, you have to understand that the mainline kernel starting at 5.x+ have had support for MT7668's Bluetooth. The same cannot be said of the WiFi part, sadly. Anyways, for the WiFi to work with the method used, we had to use kernel 4.19. So, we could not use the usual fix for Bluetooth. We had to take another route for that too.

And, please do not feel left out. You worked hard to get the Bluetooth working on some other Belize models, and nobody's gonna take that away from you. But, WiFi requires another set of fixes altogether. In my article about the fix, I do mention and commend your efforts to help the community. So, thanks a lot for that. I request you to kindly not have any hard feelings regarding this. This is a huge success or atleast a small beginning for the whole community. I hope you will understand.

I'm assuming yes. It would've been better to let me know you were going to do that rather than not let me know at all.
If I was part of that new private thread between the two of you, I also could've learned something in the process. That is the point of open source after-all... more eyes and brains to solve more problems. But not letting me know you were going to do that, yes that does make me feel left-out.

I'm not disputing that at all. Even in my tutorial I give direct credit to @Dr4kk3N for finding the firmware and figuring this out. But I was the first to publicly release a kernel and initramfs to fix the Bluetooth issue. Dr4kk3N did not do this.

I did this for both the Baikal and Belize. It is on record on the #general thread of the discord server.

I wouldn't have these feelings if you and Novice would've told me what you were planning on speaking privately. Because I do feel left out, I would've liked to learn as well how you were able to solve the Wi-Fi issue. Now I feel left out regarding this specific issue.

Zabovis I am sorry for not having mentioned this. I truly apologise for that. It is true that you could have learned a thing or two about this, especially since the new driver package doesn't make use of the kernel's simple makeconfig tool to enable Bluetooth and add the firmware files. If that's the reason you feel left out, I really feel that, and I apologise. But, if you are building up to something else, like, if you are trying to imply that I did all of this for my own selfish reasons, I have nothing to apologise to you, for.

Not at all. I did not say you were selfish nor did I mean to imply it. I feel left out because I could've learned more about how the kernel works and the issues regarding the Wi-Fi drivers. That is what I'm truly upset about.

But I accept your apology and I thank you for crediting me. Everything is fine. Just in the future, I would like to notified or not left in the dark again please. Being this is text communication, including myself, it easy for messages to be misunderstood.
