A while ago, I have upgrade my PS4 Pro (Model no. CUH-7116B) firmware had been upgraded to 9.00 from the 5.05 I used previously. I had always been able to flawlessly boot up my linux distro (ITmania’s Fedora 32 Tron Edition) without any issues; but on the new firmware and even following up all of the guides online (Modded Warfare specifically) I was only able to boot it up twice successfully. Once the first time, the other when using a different page (on Karo128.io). Otherwise, never again.
I even tried installing a distro on another drive, but even that’s been unsuccessful (not even to the linux terminal). So far I only ever used the PS4 as a Desktop Computer with my screen tablet for my art course, only recently have I gamed on it (which I rather enjoyed). If I can’t get any linux distro up and running on it then I am in trouble.
I honestly don’t know what’s going on and I really could use the help. Do I need to use a different kernel, is there a troubleshoot guide that can at least tell me what the issue is etc.
I just don’t even know where to look.
I appreciate any help or guidance given here.
Distro: ITmania’s Fedora 32 Tron Edition
Console: PS4 Pro (Model no. CUH-7116B)
South Bridge Type: Baikel
Can’t remember the Bzimage file, but it’s very old (from 5.05 days). But like I said, i had tried using the latest one for a new hard disk and distro.
Thank you
P.s. I don’t know if this is relevant, but I can’t use the web browser using the DNS 165.227.83.145 or 192.241.22179 address. If it’s not relevant then I save this issue for another post
