This is my build of Fedora 37 for ps4. I have found it to be quite stable and capable for gaming. It comes pretty much bare bones as far as software installed. However the most popular software repos have already been added so installing the bulk of your desired apps should not be a problem. It comes with Mesa 23.0.0 courtesy of Noob404 and his Nobara drivers. I have left Mesa 22.1.0 for ps4 pro models in the Documents folder. I have found them to work well for both emulators and steam on my ps4 pro model. Known Issues The first issue I have noticed is the lack of a blackscreen fix. It does not seem to happen when booting but if for some reason hdmi input is interrupted (switch input, power off tv) it goes to blackscreen and none of the usual blackscreen fixes seem to work. The second issue I have encountered is getting a bluetooth headset working for in-game communication between players/friends. Bluetooth devices in general (ps4 controller, bluetooth speakers) work fine. The last issue I have encountered just recently. The issue is (for some unknown reason) if/when you try to compile a bzImage it outputs a DOS executable file which will not work to boot linux on ps4. I tried it on PS4 pro dolphin emulator vulkan, it froze completely, I had to reset it

arif02 Hmmm, thanks for the tip. I'll see if I have same issue. Update: Sorry it took so long but I don't seem to be experiencing any issue with dolphin emu. This leads me to believe you are still on mesa 23. This particular mesa doesn't seem to play well with pro. (Still trying to figure that all out) The best solution I found was to downgrade to a different mesa that does run well on pro models. I left the "pro" mesa 22.1.0 in the Documents folder.

noob404 Yup either should work. I just left the mesa 22.1.0 in Documents cuz once I switched to it I didn't have any issue with anything gaming/graphics wise. It's the zerobou mesa from this thread 🙂 I just removed mesa 23 (and only mesa) then installed the 22.1 and its all good on my pro!

Can you add/send a TearFree script to this build? I can't go online or play games without awful screen tearing. Aeolia/internal install

To be honest I have no clue how to go about doing that. I will look into it when I get the time.

After a quick google this should be a pretty simple fix.

I just checked psxita v3 cuz I remember it having the tearfree thing and indeed the above screenshot seems to be the fix. I did notice on psxita v3 the 20-amdgpu.conf was located in /etc/x11/xorg.conf.d

Yea it should install just fine with rescue shell. I would recommend updating cuz the distro build is around 6 months old. I run the update command (with the proper exclusions of course) every friday.

misfit-mischief Bro loving the distro already. One question tho, some of the applications in the menu are missing icons, like accessories and internet, among others. Do you have a fix for this?

Saigaiii try to switch themes/icons in (the look and feel) settings it may fix your issue...

Saigaiii Like Enshan said that can most likely be fixed by trying different themes. An easy way to get new themes/icons is the Pling Store, I recommend the appimage version of Pling cuz all you have to do is maybe change permissions to allow it to execute/run the app.
