PS4Linux Badges are a way for us to let the users know that we appreciate their content and contribution. There are several badges that can be awarded to the users. Here is a quick list of all the currently available badges and how these can be acquired.
There are two kinds of badges on the forum:-
- Badges that have to be requested
- Badges earned automatically
Badges that have to be requested
This category includes the badges that the user has to request, i.e., the member will have to request beforehand to be given these awards. At the same time, the admin may give these awards to deserving members even without request.
To make a request for the badge, the user has to reply in this thread. DO NOT post on any other threads or start a new thread for badge request. These will not be honoured.
Anyways, here is a list of all the badges that come under this category with the requirements and instructions.
Developer
This is awarded to a well-known developer in the PS4 jailbreaking or PS4 Linux community. These will usually be awarded automatically, but to avoid impersonation, we might ask you to prove that you are the real developer using Twitter profile. If you haven't yet received the badge, please reply to this thread with relevant information that prove your credentials as a developer.
Supporter
This is awarded to a member who has made donation to the PS4Linux.com cause. Members can donate using this link - https://ko-fi.com/noob404. Once donated, please reply in this thread with the details. You will be contacted privately. BTW, thanks for the donation, in advance.
Contributor
Contributor badge is reserved for those who have contributed heavily to the PS4 Linux scene or PS4 hacking scene, in general, with tutorials and other content. This includes, but is not limited to content creators and YouTubers that have contributed to the scene.
Gamer
Gamer badge is for people who have contributed to the PS4 Linux gaming with gameplays, tutorials and commands to run many games. You could post detailed tutorials for Wine, Lutris, Steam, etc. to get this badge.
Badges earned automatically
As the name suggests, members who have crossed a certain threshold will automatically be given out this badge. Below, you have a list of all badges that constitute this category.
Likeable
A person who has more than 300 likes on his threads and posts combined.
Avid poster
A member who has had more than 500 posts on the forum. Remember that these posts should be meaningful. Do not post just for the sake of this badge. Such attempts will result in the reversal of the badge.
Super-avid poster
A member who has had more than 2000 posts on the forum. Again, these posts should be meaningful. Do not post just for the sake of this badge. Such attempts will result in the reversal of the badge.
Thread setter
This is given out to a person who has made more than 30 useful threads on the forum. Again, your badge could be reversed if it is found that the threads were not helpful and were just started for the sake of this badge.
Answer Master
This badge is given out to people who have had atleast 30 best answers.
Beginner
This basic badge is given out when you make atleast two threads. Consider this our token of appreciation.
