For the past 15 months, I've been trying every single kernel & initramfs I found, tried internal & external installation, tried a dozen web hosts, local payloads, 1080p & 720p, tried with pppwn, tried with BD-JB etc, etc, but about 8/10 times my screen just goes black and the PS4 turns off a few seconds later. Other times it freezes on white LED, or freezes during the payload notification before shutting off abruptly. Once or twice many months ago I got the blue & purple LED, but no display signal. Hundreds of failed attempts at this point. I don't get it. Ppl in the discord say this specific model is one of if not THE best for installing and running Linux. It SHOULD work, but it doesn't.
My current method is the following:
- BD-JB
- HDCP and device link off
- Linux distro in /user/system/boot
- bzImage, initramfs.cpio.gz, bootargs.txt in /data/boot/linux
- ps4boot.free.nf/index.html for injecting 1GB payload
