noob404 Hello , thanks for this awesome distro... I still following steps to make it work no my hacked PS4Pro, it is the most awaited distro in my opinion... I see a possible sugestion for new versions, the posibity to use the same USB in PS4 or PC I can´t report at this moment how it works for me becouse my Linux in Virtual box stills unpacking the tar file.... it seems infinity XD I hope to make it work today, In Raspberry we download and flash the ISOs... it is easier in this way for all the common peopple 🙂

GermanDroide After few hours of following steps, i achieve to get my usb with batocera for ps4... No results, no boots, nothing happens. I used Orbis binloader and tryed all the Linux payloads (from 1 to 5GB) 🙁 No error, nothing happened. Is there any other payloads to boot linux? I saw in the video a long url for the payload but is not complete to copy. I load Hen, the Orbis payloader and then the linux payload. In the 50MB partition is one Kernel and the initframs file as spected

hello, mi PS4 is a PS4 pro... I used the kernel that worked for me in other linux version i tested before... Linux is no my interest, no friendly with me but batocera seems amazing, I use RetroBat inside Windows and it is cool to get it for PS4. please can you share one USB image to flash and then I add my roms, bios, etc?

On the other hand I would like to ask if it is possible to make Batocera on a single partition. Creating two partitions greatly reduces the final space of a USB stick ...

Hey noob404 i managed to get all working but i am getting music and everything except the visuals. Pretty much black screen. I was using the 5.3.8 kernel. Do you know what i can do next to get it working? Then i used the older 4 version and now all is running. I wanted to connect a pandora box to it but it doesn't seem to get recognised. Do you know what i could do to make that work?

I found out why the black screen happen @noob404 it's pretty much the payload i use for GoldHen if i use 2.3 stable all works good. If i use any other doesn't work. And in 2.3 it only works with the oldest kernel otherwise the console just turn off. I have another question which would be around the PS2 or PS3 games or even Switch Yulu i can't get that to install or work properly do you know why? Is it a setup or it just won't run or be laggy etc.

Hey @noob404 have you been able to load any kernel that's 5+? Which loader have you used to do that? Goldhen which version? I tried 2.3 and 2.45 and both just stop the console and don't work. But would like to use a proper payload and actually use Vulkan would make things so much smoother and work so much better. As well when would you update the build to v35 or v36?

nikiizvorski I don't have to use GoldHen. The Linux payload at https://jb.ps4linux.com loads Linux using Mira loader. I have no urgent plans to update Batocera, as of now. But, if someone could sponsor it, I could make it my number one priority.

Hi noob, I installed following the procedure and everything starts normally, the problem is that I can't copy the games, if I try to use the transfer from windows using the \BATOCERA command I see the share folder but as soon as I start copying it tells me that the memory is full, I state that I have dedicated more than 200 gigabytes of space to the games partition. If I try to copy games from a linux distro like lubuntu or arch I am denied access to copy paste into the games folder. How can I solve this problem?
i forgot to mention that pressing f1 does not open the batocera file manager

Cemu ne marche pas avec mario kart 8 et le wifi ne se connecte plus du tout a part une fois ou deux au début de mes essais. Poutant le fichier de config est reglé et dans le dossier boot. Comment y arriver ?
Aussi.. j’ai essayé d’ajouter la switch avec plusieurs pack et tuto comme pour batocera sur mon pc en v36 alors j’ai trouvé un pack switch et bios pour v34 mais plus rien ne marche depuis, obligé de remettre tout a zero. Depuis impossible de me connecter sur le wifi et donc de mettre cemu pack graphics à jour avec l’émulateur et continuer mes tests.
Sinon pour finir je n’arrive pas a utiliser le dual boot sur mon disque ext usb pour mettre batocera et salient os le fichier initramfs que tu fournis ne donne rien sur ma ps4pro baikal 7116b

Hello, do I have to install linux before I can start batocera I always only get to the rescueshell run /init as init process after that it stops at the rescueshell where I can enter commands I have created my image on ubuntu can someone help me? Thank you

Mag-G i do it like you wrote always come to shell with the prompt Run /init as init process...whats the problem here i have do it exact like in the video.. i hope anybody have a solution for this
