Ps4fancontrol problem

Hey folks, i'm having a issue with ps4fancontrol app,
i'm using Debian distro from Darkstorm, and everytime that i try to use the app I get the error
darkstorm@darkstorm-ps4 ~/Downloads> sudo ps4fancontrol Uid and gid not found, can't drop privileges
There is some workaround about this?
Ps. i`m very newbe at Linux scene, so sorry if it's a easy question

sudo su doesn't work ?
you can also try sudo ./ps4fancontrol

so...i think that i found the problem, seens that ps4fancontrol was having some problem to get uid with fish_terminal,
i changed terminal to /bin/bash and it worked, i`ll continue trying to find a solution to use fish and get ps4fancontrol to work. thanks guys

yonecloud I had the same problem on an Arch install I made. The function in
https://github.com/Ps3itaTeam/ps4fancontrol/blob/14bfe8e3ad2ef989f2682fda59c021a6ce146d72/ps4fancontrol.c#L47
apparently checks for a user with their home directory in /home and with the default shell /bin/bash in the file /etc/passwd.
For my user. The default shell was /usr/bin/bash so in that file I had
username:x:1000:1000::/home/username:/usr/bin/bash
and so I changed the line to
username:x:1000:1000::/home/username:/bin/bash
and it fixed the issue. I maybe had to log out from the user first.
There's only one line for that particular user in the file
