boot services failing, sent to root shell

Hello I have been trying to build my own linux distro to run on the ps4 no matter which distro i make to run on my ps4 and install onto the usb from ps4 if i boot it systemd-remount-fs service fails and some other things failed too during boot and after that it sends me to root command line to do maintenance and i dont know what to do

Have you tried resume-boot ?

Most prolly a driver issue. Or, an error in the distro build itself. It is difficult to debug. Can you share screenshots?

noob404 I have it on my ps4 now sending screenshots

cant make screenshots now because i just decided to stick with using ubuntu 22.04 on my ps4 but what i do know is that its a problem with newer releases of linux distros from after 2022. i have given up on it at this point but i will retest arch linux today on my other pen drive and have screenshots when i boot it

installing the xz to my ps4 right now sorry it took long i will send boot screenshots in 30 minutes

abcdefg123 The errors above are expected. There has most prolly been an issue with your distro build cause the distro's still looking for the virtual machine's disk UUID under fstab.

noob404 how do i avoid getting sent to emergency mode because if i ran sddm in there i only get a cursor

abcdefg123 Very difficult to say without more information about which distro you are building, which drivers were used, and if any extra changes were made.

arch linux ver 6/23, lxqt and itmania mesa-git 22.2-dev. no extra changes made after mesa

Try recording the boot process and see if anything else is failing. Also, try making a different distro.

this thread is useless to me now, just gonna stick with ubuntu 22.04
